Bedford County Released Inmates is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, post bond, move or release a person, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the government office that holds the record or controls the custody event.


Choose the Record-Holding Office

Use Bedford County Correctional Facility for a local physical release or transfer. The jail is at 425 Imlertown Road, Bedford, PA 15522. Its general telephone number is (814) 623-2955, its records fax is (814) 623-2946, and general questions may be sent to bccfquestions@bedfordcountypa.org. No official release-processing hours were published, so call before visiting or planning a pickup. The county website's general hours must not be assumed to be jail release hours.

Bedford County's Agency Open Records Officer is Holly Clark, 200 S. Juliana Street, Bedford, PA 15522; (814) 623-4807 ext. 2372; fax (814) 623-0991; hclark@bedfordcountypa.org. The county accepts Right-to-Know requests by email, fax, mail, or in person. Ask for a specific existing booking, release, transfer, or photograph record. The county publishes general courthouse hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; verify before travel.

Sheriff Wayne Emerick Jr.'s office is on the first floor of the Bedford County Courthouse, 200 S. Juliana Street, Bedford, PA 15522; (814) 623-2910; fax (814) 623-2940; wemerick@bedfordcountypa.org. The Sheriff performs transport and court duties but is not identified as the BCCF operator or release-record custodian.

For a sentenced state prisoner, PA DOC routes official inmate-record questions to RA-centechrecords@pa.gov. Formal requests go to the PA DOC Right-to-Know Law Office, Office of Chief Counsel, 1920 Technology Parkway, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050; (717) 728-7763; RA-docrighttoknow@pa.gov. County and state custody records are separate.

  • For a released person or county release record, start with the Bedford County release search and records process, then contact BCCF or the county open-records officer.
  • For local supervision, Bedford County Adult Probation and Parole Services is on the courthouse lower level at 200 S. Juliana Street; (814) 623-4830. State parole uses PA DOC instead.
  • For a recent event, use PA SAVIN at 1-866-972-7284 and then confirm the release or transfer with BCCF.
  • For a projected state release or parole status, use the PA DOC locator and DOC records route. A county sentence at BCCF requires BCCF and court records.
